Disney should have used Steamboat Willie for their Jungle Cruise movie. It was a fun movie as-is, but I'm surprised they didn't take an animated option that would have extended their IP control.

I assumed it was an organic shift due to the number of people who play MMORPG. The interactions are usually in present tense, so modern readers are more used to / attuned to that than past tense.
