I once ate an apple so thoroughly all that was left was the stem and seeds. My best friend thinks about this often.
Husband, father, gamer (not "gamer"), software dev, media enjoyer, current events follower, social contract observer, champion of progress.
Age yourself with a toy from your childhood.

Day 11: Comfort game: don't have one. Not huge on vibe gaming. I do a lot of retro gaming, and replays, but not with any discernible pattern. Closest I've ever come to one was actually this year, Wednesday, Nov. 6th, I started a replay of Danganronpa. Something about hope triumphing over despair.

Day 10: I don't have the liberty of playing many under-the-radar games these days, so an oldie. Historically underrated, The Guardian Legend (NES) wasn't the absolute best at any one aspect (except arguably music) but was consistently great throughout. I have it in my top 10 on the platform.

Day 5: Over FF6 and Chrono Trigger, I'm going to go with a worldwide remake of Another Century's Episode 2 - a brilliant 3rd-person mecha action game from From Software (of Armored Core fame) that originally couldn't leave Japan due to licensing mecha from 14 different anime/manga sources.

Day 4: Swapping between Dragon Warrior 3 & 4 (NES) - never completely finished either of them. Kicking the wheels on League of Legends. In the middle of a spell in which I'm playing Magic: The Gathering Arena frequently, and imminently starting Path of Exile 2.

Day 3: FF1 Chaos was difficult, but less so than the journey to him. The Radegon/Elden Beast combo is probably my goto here, special mention for FFX's Yunalesca, whose 2nd phase gave me fits the first time through. (Also, I historically haven't fought 'extra/super' bosses, so limited by that.)

Day 1: My "first" video game could probably be any Commodore 64 or Atari 2600 game circa 1984. Definitely loved C64's Wizard of Wor and Impossible Mission as a young kid. My favorite early childhood game was Windham Classics' Below the Root, a SCUMM-adjacent adventure game on C64.
