Man, this sucks. FA is run by genuinely awful people and I was hoping to migrate slowly to IB which I've lurked on for a while. I already had reservations due to the AI thing, but now with learning about this, I'm hoping for a good alternative.

My conclusion? Don't trust FA yet, but keep an eye in case they can earn it back. I doubt it, but you never know.

A few issues also remain open that make me skeptical:
- The banning of artists over demonstrably false accusations of AI use by staff
- The banning of people just for being critical of FA staff both on the site and from the discord
- Support tickets that remain open for months now

FA has never had a mod team that acted in good faith with the fandom in its existence. I will be adopting a wait and see approach on if the new team is any different and hoping they are.

I'm still not sure whether to trust FA. Getting rid of the old mods was a good step 1. It's also nice to see that after radio silence and initial opposition, Sciggles seems to have changed tune and agreed to try to make amends. The thing is...

Yep. It really felt like just trying to get some of the heat off before pressing on with the same plan. Looking at the discord and with the mods (rightfully) gone, it seems possible she's come around to our side but I'll only believe it when I see it.
