We bought a Steam Deck and dock about a month ago and my husband has been playing it NONSTOP. We were already PC gamers, but after working at a PC all day it's so nice to be able to game from the couch. The Steam Machine might be our next purchase...

Especially since one of the people in that shared office is on the phone all day (for work reasons) and I'm now going to be forced to wear headphones all day for my own sanity. Not to mention if I need to have meetings with my direct report or anyone else I now have to book a conference room.

I have plans on plans on plans for what this could be and all of them require money which is rude as fuck.

If I can't swing the retail portion, then I'd settle for opening a sewing-focused makerspace with an attached craft thrift/re-use store. Bonus if I can have an event space w/ monthly maker markets and/or a small retail space w/ local artist goods with terms favorable to the artists.

So this is me, screaming out into the universe, that somehow I am going to make it happen before I turn 50. In turn, I ask the universe to be kind and give me the chance because there is so little joy in the world right now that I need to do something to bring more of it into existence.

This is literally the worst time EVER to be opening a small business but turning 40 and the absolute shit-show this last year has been really smacked me in the face as to just how short life is and if I don't do this soon, it's never gonna happen.

Like, if someone gave me $50k right now and said "do it" I would walk away from my day job and throw myself wholeheartedly into this thing. I literally have an entire google doc of suppliers for the retail area, space needs (current + future), classes to hold, tools and machines to buy, etc.
