My statement on the federal court's ruling enjoining the 2025 Texas Congressional map ⬇️

Glad to welcome @gavinnewsom.bsky.social to #HTown this past weekend to say thank you for his leadership in the fight for fair maps and the work ahead to take back the House. And so glad to be with so many Houstonians from #TX07 and beyond who are ready to #TakeItBack.

It's official! I have put my name on the ballot for 2026 for the privilege of continuing to represent #TX07 in the U.S. House of Representatives. We have much work to do in 2026—and I know we can do it.

It was a great Texan, President Lyndon B. Johnson, who signed the bill into law. And Texas Democrats are carrying on that work today to ensure that all Texans and all Americans have not only the right but the ability to exercise that right freely and without interference. (3/3)

So proud to stand with people from across Harris County and Southeast TX who showed up to say NO to Trump's TX takeover!

TX Democrats are taking a stand to defend TX when Gov. Abbott and Republicans won’t.

No Surrender. We will fight Trump’s TX takeover in every way we can.

Tomorrow after the rally, make your voice heard by testifying before the Texas House Redistricting Committee! This is our chance to show up, speak out, and demand fair maps.
