School exemptions to discrimination law leave religious LGBTQIA+ teens unprotected
Federal laws allow religious schools to discriminate against LGBTQIA+ people. New research shows religious and sexuality diverse teens fall through the cracks.

While my feed is full of outraged and embarrassed Americans, I'd like to remind everyone that Trump got 77,284,118 votes, that's almost 50% of all presidential votes in 2024.

Research advice please.

We are currently getting many many fake participants for our research, replying to recruitment, even filling out consent forms, but then not showing up for interviews. Sometimes we can tell, but not always.

Advice on identifying these people?

It's the vibe and, ah – no that's it. It's the vibe. I rest my case
Vibes-based methods

Something new from me: people are (still) using ‘vibes’ to talk about generative ambiguities and this says something interesting about social life and social research. Here I look across conceptual trends to consider why vibes are the vibe

The Sun Does Shine by Ray Hinton, from the Oprah book club. This is an incredible story. From Wikipedia I see that Ray Hinton has in no way been compensated by the state. How anyone involved in putting or keeping him on death row lives with themselves I don’t know.
