I found George Winston’s “December” on YouTube, and it’s making me unexpectedly emotional. It’s taking me back to a very different part of my life. I gave it to my mom for Christmas, and she loved it as much as I did. It’s rare that music can make me cry, but this did it.

This is one of the mornings when I miss coffee. I had to give up caffeine for anxiety reasons. I do occasionally drink decaf, but it’s not the same. I miss Coke, too. It’s hard to find caffeine-free Coke.

Made it out of the house today, and cleared off my car before the big freeze tonight. Not going anywhere tomorrow! The worst part is, I think, that it’s only the beginning of winter. It gets harder every year. I see why old people move to Florida (not that I would ever do that).

Sunset was at 4:14 today. That’s the earliest sunset of the year. Sunrise will continue to get later until the solstice, and after that the days will start getting longer again. I can’t wait. The darkness is my least favorite part of winter.

Only a couple inches of snow so far, but it has changed over to a mix and sounds decidedly crunchy. Glad I have nowhere to go today.

The forecast has gone from 8-10” to 3-8” to 1-3” with rain mixing with snow. I’m liking it better and better. I’d like just enough to be pretty, but not enough to be dangerous for drivers (or have to shovel out my car).

I managed to get to the grocery store and back before 10:00 am the day before a snowstorm. And it wasn’t crazy busy! Go me.

I just woke from a dream that started in a conference room, then escalated quickly into a shootout, with the FBI saving us, and then some of us going back to my place for pizza. Oh, and the CEO was Helen Mirren. She loved my car. Very weird, but entertaining.
