I’m taking a haiku comics class, and we had an assignment to make a non-traditional haiku (not about seasons or nature, but about pop culture, supernatural creatures, fairy tales, etc.) Here’s mine:

deep in the ocean
she finds herself dreaming of
the human world

I’ve been going outside to paint recently. It’s really nice to just sit in a park for an hour and paint. It’s also fully engrossing. While I’m there, I’m not thinking about anything other than what’s in front of me and how to put paint on paper.

Possum’s Junk Shop
