I was set to post from the Board of Ed Budget Amendment meeting about our contract but they’ve pulled it from the agenda…so stay tuned. I’m hopeful our elected Board of Ed helps the CEO refocus and settle this transformative contract.

When teachers work to rule, school stops working bc there just isn’t enough time. Teachers in Chicago were offered an extra TEN MINUTES of prep time to plan IEP accommodations, assemble materials, assess student work, communicate w/ parents, use the bathroom, meet w/ colleagues & more. Ten minutes.
"Are you expected to show up 20 minutes early to do unpaid prep? Your mornings are now for coffee and contemplation. Have unfinished work you usually take home? Get ready for an evening of Netflix and chill...Start dotting your I’s and crossing your T’s."
