Best Hamlet I've ever seen, and the only one that "got" what I've always felt--the play is really the blackest of black comedy. I tried to watch Olivier afterwards and changes in acting styles aside, he practically sleepwalked through the role by comparison.

Fantastic once tree'd my friend Jimmy on top of the swing set. There may even be a photo hanging around somewhere...

Let's see...big male, the size of a goose, who'd attack anyone who came in the yard. I named him Fantastic, which somehow became Ta-Ta, my nephew's attempt to say his name. And a couple of females who never could figure out what to do with their wings, and just let them flop on the ground.

We had those when I was a kid. They veered between violent and dumb as bricks. 😃

I did the opposite: I promptly told everyone who would listen and wrote the whole thing down, as my brain was not only in denial, but appeared to be actively trying to make me forget it ever happened. In a way, that was even odder than the ghost or whatever it was.

I had a similar experience several years ago in my boyfriend's "old" (1980) house. An invisible person lay down on top of me in bed while everyone else was downstairs. Very odd experience, and the rational part of my brain promptly went into total denial mode.

Is this the origin of the Thumbelina story?

I have the American Duchess pair in pale green. Never worn them, maybe never will, but they are soooo gorgeous!

I have several decks, and right now I'm loving the Pulp Tarot, which has images based on vintage paperback covers, comics, etc.

They look oddly 1980s punk to me. Especially the one in the middle.
