putting thoughts into the void
If you’re still not convinced you need to wear a mask, then wear a mask to protect others. Protect the disabled and chronically ill, for many of whom preventable infections are more dangerous. Protect kids who are too young for certain vaccines. Protect people you love. Protect complete strangers.

As an extra bonus, for those of you all across the US experiencing the recent cold temps right now, wearing a mask will help warm your breath, and keep your airway and lungs protected from the cold air!

A well fitting N95 or KN95 or KN94 are going to be your most effective mask options.

And for those who haven’t masked since 2020 - good news, there are a lot of shapes and styles of masks, making it easier than ever to find a mask that fits you well and is comfortable for extended periods of wear!

It happened when applying the second coat, which is not something I always do.

So clearly this is actually a sign that one coat is actually always good enough

🙀 okay but where did you get them?! I’ve been using the same boring white N95s I’ve been using since I switched from cloth and surgical masks to N95s back in 2021, and I literally chose the brand because I’d gotten the same masks from a hardware store once pre-2020 so I knew they fit my face.

I was literally opening this app to decide if I should make a joke post as to whether I should make an unboxing video of my latest order of N95s, and this was the first thing I see… 👀 😷 (and maybe I should make an unboxing vid of my mask restock…)

I mean, there is so much more that I could say on this. There are parts of me that are lost, too, that I can’t get back or even that I don’t want to get back. But at least some of the core of who I am, at least, who I have been reconnecting with? I’m glad to have found again when I did, is all.

Yeah, they don’t all work well for side sleeping. You could always try tying a bandana or scarf around your eyes. At one point I used to sleep wearing a thin beanie I’d pull down to my nose lol.

Oh yeah, sorry, I meant to type eye mask! As you may have guessed, I refer to mine as my sleep mask lol. Anyway, when I wake up a million times, only being able to see the darkness in the mask can prevent me from waking up enough to where I can’t as easily fall back asleep.

I also wake up constantly during the night. Obviously staying asleep would be ideal, but I do find that wearing a sleep mask helps me at least fall back asleep faster. Also visualizing the most recent dream I remember can help with falling back asleep. I wish I knew how to stay asleep though lol
