The writing slope is out - that can only mean one thing: it’s time to write Christmas cards!

Starting on Sunday I’m posting an #adventcalendar in story form on www.liztaylorson.com. ‘Winter Comes to the #SecretGarden’ is based on the characters and settings of the classic #FrancesHodgsonBurnett novel and is suitable for children. One page a day from December 1st until Christmas Eve.

Revisiting my past, and quite happy to find that it’s actually much as I had remembered!

I’ve left Twitter recently and tried Threads which was just as poisonous. Social media seems to be rather antisocial these days - I don’t want to be called names, sneered at and told off by strangers. I’m principally here for books, theatre and writing posts. And if you sneer I’ll block!

Fleetwood, and Blackpool illuminations

I’m looking for my next Christmas read. Any suggestions for either a festive London set romance/women’s fiction or a fantastical/historical story with a sparkling snowy backdrop. Bonus points for a protagonist over 30!

Never try to make the bed in the moggin’ hour (that hour just before feeding time when they follow you everywhere). This is what happens to your clean sheets!

Here are five random things I love (not people or pets, take that for granted!): 1. Books of all kinds 2. Disney holidays 3. Boro 4. The National Theatre 5. Hot water bottles in winter.

I finally found some novel people to follow! I love my husband very much but seeing nothing but his posts wasn’t why I was here. Now I need to find the theatre people too.
