I’m having a bad pain week, but a good quilting week. I’ve got one of my favorite makes ever under my machine almost ready to be sent off as a special gift and I’m cutting into new fabric to make myself the pink Halloween quilt of my dreams! #quiltsky

Indulging in one of my favorite activities: staying up all night reading a trashy thriller while it thunderstorms outside ⛈️📚 #booksky

If I have to spend a beautiful, sunny Friday afternoon doing annoying and high-stakes medical tests, I'm definitely starting a new thriller while I wait #booksky #disability

Did I abandon my seasonally appropriate summer 70s quilt, made with a beautifully well written pattern in order to make a wonky improv quilt with my Halloween scraps? Absolutely lol #quiltsky

The last month has been brutal, dealing with a new autoimmune diagnosis and, ya know, all the fascism. But I’m starting to feel a little human again, and look at this gorgeous fabric I get to play with now! #quiltsky #disabled

Absolutely! This is my favorite, from chapter 2, I think. I love the image of ideas and feelings questing about her consciousness too.

Tonight there was still a sliver of light when I finished teaching my evening yoga class, which to me means it’s Spring and time to re-read my favorite book. Hurston has the best description of Spring in the Western canon and should be read accordingly #booksky

I did all the things I had to do as a disabled person trying to resist and survive The Horrors and now I’m going to work on a baby quilt for a friend to remind me who we’re fighting for ✨❤️ #quiltsky

Now that I have my Juki I’m ready to finish some projects that were too big to quilt on my old machine. This is also my first time trying table basting, I hope I like the final product because this is so much easier than doing it on the floor!

I’m making two lap quilts to sell in order to fund my dreams of buying a fancy new sewing machine, but I can already tell it’s going to be hard to let them go! #quiltsky

I can’t finish quilting my last project because the throat of my machine is too small, so I’m consoling myself with a new project and lots of chain piecing
