I so agree! I want both--reading and conversation. It's a rare audience member who can sustain interest in a reading for much longer than 10 minutes (what do the studies say, you lose most people after 12?). I like to do a video or PowerPoint that relates t the text too.

You're right, it is what media was like (I say as rack my brain for examples that aren't any of the things you mentioned). I guess that's a good conversation to have--hey, look what was considered ok back then. The 80s were even worse. 😳

There's one scene in particular with Jordan . . . I think you'll know it when you see it. But I still adore this show to no end, and will never get over its premature cancellation.
