My teenager informed me a couple weeks ago that we can’t throw these out because they’re worth something. Apparently there’s a market for “rare” clips. I did a spit-take with my coffee and demanded to see proof.

My spice collection used to look like that. A renovation project last year made me realize how many of them were so expired that they no longer had smell or flavor. What I have left all fits on one shelf now.

Nice! There’s some fun stuff out there. I started using it during the pandemic to keep my kids’ brains fed and we’ve just kept going. Now my 10 year old’s science teacher can’t figure out what to do with him because he talks to his classmates about quantum physics. 😂

I’m going to be blunt. When black people were targeted, did you make it a “broader issue”? I’m guessing the answer is no. You knew there was no was to spin it to fit your worldview.
Trans people ARE the primary targets. Be a real ally. Stop minimizing the impact to this community.

I do this by having consistent references to a couple of defining characteristics. (black-haired, soldier, azure eyes, etc.) some of which evolve over time (eg EX-soldier, etc). And yes, creating unique voices via the distinct word choices of each character.

My older kiddo was afraid of the dark and monsters under the bed when she was little. We made her a cozy closet corner full of cushions with gauze curtains and fairy lights. She slept in that spot for about a year before deciding that maybe there were no monsters after all.
