Trump's siege on Venezuela is not because of drug cartels, it is not because of democracy, even though there is no true democracy in Venezuela, just as there is none in Saudi Arabia or Qatar. What the Trump administration really wants is to get its hands on Venezuela's enormous mineral wealth.
