Book 2 of the year is The Stone Circle by @ellygriffiths.bsky.social. This is the 11th book in the Dr Ruth Galloway series and as with all the others, I loved it. I just love the characters, so believable and real. As soon as I finished I ordered the next one! ⭐️

My 1st book finished in 2025 is the wonderful Rewitched by @lucyjanewood.bsky.social A beautiful witchy story of self-discovery and self-belief which had me hooked from the very start. Wonderful cosy read with a dash of mystery and intrigue ✨

And finally, Somewhere beyond the sea by TJ Klune. This much anticipated sequel did not disappoint! I laughed and cried pretty much from start to finish. Such a beautiful story of love and resilience and fighting for what’s right.

Next is The Black Bird Oracle by @debharkness.bsky.social. The 5th book in the All Souls series sees Diana learning about her father’s side of the family. I loved meeting all her witchy relatives and actually got to see Deborah read the 1st chapter at a book signing. What an impressive women she is!

And now for my three 5* reads of the year. First up was a reread of The Drift by @cjtudor.bsky.social. This starts out as essentially 3 locked room mysteries and you can’t see how they all connect. Part thriller, part horror, I loved it just as much this time as I did the first!

Book that will stay with me longest was The betrayal of Thomas True by @ajwestauthor.bsky.social. I loved the dark, gritty, dirty descriptions of Georgian London combined with the wild frivolity of the molly houses. And the ending just left me sobbing 😭

Most surprisingly enjoyable read was The twelve topsy-turvy, very messy days of Christmas by James Patterson. Completely bonkers but thoroughly enjoyable and heartwarming.
