That was fine when we had a dozen BuzzFeeds, each employing a dozen writers with their own special perspectives. But the financial ruin of the industry has put everyone out on their own, and as @anamariecox.bsky.social writes, it's very difficult to perform your brand consistently for years on end.

Make sure you write to the abc and tell them, Chris suggested it so I did it. If David Marr thought he was discrediting Chris in that interview, then he fucked up as he is the one who looks like a new idea journalist. What a shame. I use to like him
