The role of the police in protecting fascists during the Battle of Cable should be better known. The real battle was between the East End multicultural population and the police. If you look at todays RW marches the police continue to protect fascists right to 'free speech' dominating London. Today👇

While Trump & Putin talk about dividing #Ukraine let's be clear Putin is cherry-picking.Donetsk Oblast includes the industrial heartlands of Ukraine, the Azovstal steel mill & nuclear power plants. Crimea =access to the Black Sea. They're major strategic assets that bolster Russia & weaken Ukraine

As someone who has been an executor several times this on pensions makes the task so much harder. Most couples never expected to pay IHT on their pensions & the majority of women did not accrue pension entitlement equivalent to their male partner. WASPI women have already lost pensions = double blow

I am all for supporting our wildlife but l was determined to get a few cherries off this year's morello cherry. A super unattractive draping of laundry bags later some limited success. PS Very fat blackbirds got the rest.

Happy Easter folks. I am going to be having a well-earned rest after some mad rushing around. Will focus on family, enjoy the sunshine & listen to some birdsong in the garden. The cherries & apple trees are in blossom and everywhere are signs of Spring. We eagerly await the return of the swifts.

Looking for the positives - it is a glorious warm Spring day. I saw my first honeybee of the year. Feasting happily on the miniature irises and crocuses.

I get it. My knees are shot. Private surgeon states l need knee replacement. NHS surgeon no replacement until unable to bear the pain so he wont even put me on his 2.2 year waiting list despite pain & bone on bone. No pain clinic or physio help offered. Beyond angry.

Just checking in to welcome the new influx and explain my lack of engagement. Currently on a big trip and looking out at the real world. Fighting fear and despair at humans with natural beauty and comfort. So here is a bunch of pelicans doing their thing. Let's be more pelican.

I loved Meknes, it's just so interesting. All those artisan factories l was spell- bound. Essaouira is not too crowded at the right time & at night the locals come out & make it their own again. I have yet to visit Taroudant or the Sahara. More for the ever expanding bucket list.
