I love all animals (yes, even spiders) and books and travelling and yoga and being creative (mostly for my eyes only) and living off-grid like a hermit in the Australian bush (ask me how I keep safe from dropbears and giant, carnivorous echidnas!).
Wouldn't they be hanging out at the opposite ends of the afterlife? One up, one down?

It's not just that it's a Homity Pie, it's that it's a Summer Kitchen Homity Pie! Unbeatable.

The Trumpian method is spreading quickly, tainting every corner of the world. I'm surprised the pumpkin hasn't yet invited Rockliff to the White House for dinner. Perhaps because Rockliff hasn't quite got the track record yet of the pumpkin's other mates, nor is he a billionaire yet.

I always say (though I haven't had any such calls for a long time), "No, there is no-one here by that name." As it's always salespeople, I'm glad to get rid of them. It never occurred to me to feel awkward!

Now you're just getting greedy. Who needs two rainbows at once? :)

But our @hermitheidi.bsky.social is well-known to love swimming with sharks. It's been memorialised in historical cartoons :)

I immediately visualised a Hereford cow in a snorkel and flippers lol.

Ah, but did you campaign for it?

I have no say in the Walkley, but I included Mean Streak in my vote of the ABC Top 100 books of the 21st century to date. I wouldn't be surprised if it got included in the top 100 for quarters 2, 3, & 4 of the 21st century, too. Very important book.

And yet... and yet, no one of them is wearing a T-shirt? Think of their sun protection!

That reminds me - Kingborough Council needs community feedback on their plans for Snug beach.

Is the display of the mug authorised or are you claiming to have won it by osmosis? 😜

I needed them, and will always need such fluffery until the world is set to rights, so thank you, Heidi.

First time I saw these in my yard, I was a bit freaked, but when I realised that they're harmless (maybe beneficial, even? I don't know) I took joy in just adoring their glorious colour.

It's pretty scary with its eyes closed. How much more scary would it be if it opened them?

NOOOOO!!!! They've left Tasmania off the Australian map again. Please fix.

In my case, living houseplants represent a win. Every day they continue to live despite my best efforts is something to be extremely proud of. There's not always a lot else, so a living Peace Lily means a lot to me.
