Step 2, after doing the Thai-Malaysian immigration loop, was a train to Butterworth followed by step 3 the ferry to Penang, where the shiny new ferry passes the empty hulks of the old painted ferries on the way in. And then lunch in Penang.

The proportion of voters nominating in each category was a little lower than usual, and the ratio of voters:nominations is high, so they also picked a wider spread of possible options and spread their nominating points more thinly. NB I removed 2023

I think your interpretations are all correct but I swiped your spreadsheet and plotted it anyway. Yes, nomination ranges in most categories were a bit down from usual.
