WfM kits have a different plastic, but they also have what feels like a ton of colorshift between the render/artwork and the actual kits, this is one of them...

Shape wise, i'd say the Sea Duck is pretty much an absurdly scaled up Grumman Goose! The Irony!
It does have a bigger sibling in the Grumman Ablatross, but that one looses most of the design hallmarks carry over :)
