Looks like Forest Service research will lose ~ 1/3 of its staff as a result of the Deferred Resignation 2 blackmail. We were presented with the difficult choice of taking the resignation and 4 mos of continued pay or declining the offer and accepting the uncertain, but probable risk of layoff. more:

BREAKING: The USDA has confirmed five additional dairy herds in California have tested positive for the virus, raising the total to 732.

Currently, 74% of the state's dairy herds are infected with H5N1.
