So uh, this is an interesting sequence of headlines for today’s Wired mailer. Next week are we going to talk about the health benefits for tech CEOs of massive amounts of cocaine, and then maybe about the “conspiracy” of government regulators to otherwise interfere with their exploitative schemes?
Article preaching the health benefits of ketamine for silicon valley ceos, and then an article about “crypto’s biggest conspiracy” with the lede “Did bureaucrats in the US plot to cut the crypto industry out of the banking system? An investigation begins.” DID *bureaucrats* CONSPIRE TO DO THEIR JOBS TO PROTECT STANDARDS AROUND CURRENCY FROM A SPECULATIVE INSTRUMENT DESIGNED EXPRESSLY TO AVOID THE SAFEGUARDS AROUND REAL MONEY?

The “Jesse Singal Follower” tag remains undefeated, sadly.
Journalist Dave Weigel, arguing that Democrats and the left are alienating “normal” people by fighting against terminology like “illegal immigrants,” using as a base for his arguments “stuff he heard Latinos say in Brownsville circa 2014”. Because of the Jesse Singal follower tag, I can see Weigel follows Singal, which creates an unfortunate larger umbrella of shitty, bigoted arguments encompassing this particular example.

What is the attached evidence? The NYT article on it says that there wasn't any, which seems really important given the context of the claims.

Ms. Merchant, in a phone interview, said that she had reviewed documents showing that Mr. Wade and Ms. Willis had traveled together to vacation destinations and that Mr. Wade had paid for some of the tickets. She said she believed the records were included in Mr. Wade’s sealed divorce filings. She asked in a separate court filing this week that those records be unsealed.
