When I say I’m writing Opal and Oestre to give all trans girls a hug in book-form, this is what I mean. It’s so incredibly clear this is the first novel I’ve written start to finish since transitioning—it’s so joyful. 😊 Should have this done in about two weeks! 💖

Writing about 4x my usual amount since switching to writing at the coffee shop, but I’ve also been particularly and actively gay lately, so I think both are helping. 🤭 Either way, aiming to get this cozy transbian magech novel done for y’all by the end of the year! I went into the function a lil nervous bc social anxiety & knowing how functions can go as a girlie with a touch of the tism, but I literally got to eat pizza, play smash, and get pet/cuddled by girls I didn’t really know. Cishet normies could learn a thing or two, just saying. 😂

Between my lovely experience at Dorothy yesterday and the fact that I’ve been jamming to a lot of swing revival lately, I’m kinda thinking my next novel might have to be about a tough-as-nails lesbian gumshoe or something 🤔

Dorothy is the authentic lesbian speakeasy experience. You arrive & have no idea you’ve arrived bc there are no signs, nothing but a nondescript but well-lit red door. You enter, show ID, & walk downstairs into the swankiest, most elegant jazzy lesbian bar, enormous couches lining the walls. 10/10.
