Citizens United is the root cause of the Oligarchy we are now seeing. We basically allowed corps to donate unlimited funds to political campaigns, and ultimately buy a president.
A constitutional amendment is the way to go, so that reinstalling Citizens United has a much bigger hurdle to clear.
