Going back to the NES for #ScanlineSunday this week with Kirby's Adventure! The SNES had already been out for a while in 1993 but HAL Laboratory were out here showing the elder console still had some juice.

And you're really getting the scanlines this time; my TV was not cooperating with my camera.

In Adventure Jam, the Bullet Barrage skill creates a widespread, full-screen wall of fire with a single shot. Using this to burn down bosses is quite challenging.
