Day 1 of our training for @naturalengland staff at Long Mead in Oxfordshire. We've covered floodplain meadow soils, hydrology, vegetation, and heard about restoration techniques from the wonderful Catriona Bass who been instrumental in restoring large areas of species rich meadow along the Thames 🥰

I've been in the conservation sector for years & I'm constantly astounded by the women I've worked with. I get so much from all these extraordinary, passionate & clever women! All of whom fight the good fight to bring our natural world back up to scratch whilst juggling a zillion other balls..
