Naturally, we will be looking for a Nico di Angelo who closely resembles the original Disney-Hyperion promotional art from 2007, since I know that is everyone's favorite depiction. 😏

Congratulations to the cast and crew of Percy Jackson and the Olympians for their Children's and Family Emmy wins, including the award for Outstanding Young Teen Series. A well-deserved testament to their hard work and dedication.

Good first meeting with the PJO writers' room! It's the same team as season two, which is great because they did a fantastic job. Only issue: Becky and I joined via Zoom, and they were having donuts. Now I want donuts. (Yes, I am basically Blackjack.)

Looks like news about the new Nico/Will book will drop this Friday, 2/28, unless it gets delayed again, but surely not, right? (fingers crossed)

Excited to meet with the PJO writers' room today to discuss potential plans for season three. This does NOT mean the third season is green-lighted yet, but we have been cleared to start a room and begin planning scripts, because assuming the show DOES go forward, we have to start now. Optimistic.🤞

On the street yesterday, someone recognized me, sort of. He asked if I was making any more Harry Potter movies. I smiled and said not that I knew of, but I'm working on a TV show based on my books. We parted, both satisfied with our wildly different understandings of reality.

This is hardly a major plot point, but yesterday we had a macaw on set. Every time I walked past his holding area (green room?) he said hello to me and whistled loudly. So if you hear a macaw catcalling in the background in any of the final scenes, that's probably my fault.

Yesterday I met the guinea pigs. It was a good day. (Percy Jackson season two. If you know, you know.)

Had a great time catching up with two of my favorite demigods on set for Percy Jackson season 2: Dior Goodjohn (Clarisse) and Charlie Bushnell (Luke).
