The L.O.V.E. Approach to living with dementia is a holistic treatment approach for family members and friends. When we embrace a holism philosophy, we can see the many dimensions of who the person is on the inside.

People living with dementia are people. The person should only be referred to as a “patient” by their healthcare providers.

Because of changes in the brain, person living with dementia cannot physically, cognitively, or emotionally change their communication and comprehensive abilities to connect with us as they once did.

So WE must change how we communication to create meaningful relationships with family and friends.
