Two recent Living Blues cover artists took home awards last night. Ronnie Baker Brooks (#294) won Contemporary Blues Male Artist, Contemporary Blues Album for BLUES IN MY DNA, and Song of the Year for “Blues in My DNA.” Our current cover artist, Thornetta Davis (#296), won Soul Blues Female Artist.

Joe Louis Walker died on April 30, 2025. He was 75 years old.

Walker was featured on the cover of Living Blues #87 (July/August 1989), #151 (May/June 2000), and #218 (April/May 2012).
