This time in 2017 I passed my PhD viva. It was snowing. I couldn’t get home or to my partner so I was on my own. I filmed a tiny video of my own happiness and my phone has just reminded me of that moment today. Laundry rack behind me. (I would eventually celebrate a lot)

Historians who do oral history: Do you need bespoke transcription? Technology is imperfect and bad at regional accents. My transcriber is looking for more work. He’s highly experienced and motivated.
