Yes but it’s been since elementary school. In PE we would try fruits that were not traditionally in our households like once a month!

I go to an HBCU in a red state, and I can say it drowns out some noise, but not all. We still recognize the history of our school, underfunding, racism off campus, & so much more. It’s a blessing to be at an HBCU, but we, as students, still must be aware of the climate around us.
