Recently I've been really wishing we could just put AI back in the bag, sucks how we're having to guess if it's real before we can even appreciate the art :/

I bet he'd like The Maze Runner--big sci fi and mystery elements. Same goes for anything by Neal Shusterman.

If he doesn't think they're too young, I liked Warrior Cats a lot as a kid. The "political" intrigue might scratch his mystery itch!
