4 plays more like a ps1 game than a 2012 3ds game but is still easily the best in the series. Azuma is the most modern but changes up mechanics a bit too much for some. RF5 is a mediocre but still worthwhile in between. 4+3 have sharance and 4 has crop dungeons which might be your thing at endgame?

Rune Factory games are pretty much if you took the mines from Stardew and replaced it with a fullblown beat'em-up/action rpg but still had the farming+villager relations and complex crafting that connects it all+monster taming. Don't really have any one big dungeon but more open up as you progress.

it starts a little slow because you don't have full abilities but it's one of the only roguelites I've played where the floor skip mechanic doesn't gimp you. More character progression than item progression too. Can make nice steady progress. Haven't played the sequel but I have reasons to prefer 1.

Heroes of Hammerwatch is pretty much exactly this with one of the gimmicks over a traditional roguelite being you have to send ore back up mid run. No actual mining but a lot of puzzle type trap rooms towards the start. Classes have really unique playstyles and give bonuses between characters. Co-op

returning vault hunters in 2 also felt way more likeable than any returning character in 3 (which also felt really mischaracterized in some cases?) having some of the bl2 hunters restricted to only appearing in DLC was lame cuz I still aint ever paying money for more of that. Got Wonderlands though.

played 2 and 3 right next to eachother and I swear 2 doesn't make you just wait and listen for npc dialouge to end nearly as much? there's some annoying bits towards the start on replay but the amount of times 3 makes you wait on the ship or directly in front of someone talking at you made me insane

hate to be a contrarian but just as another data point I guess, I lost my Hollow Knight save after City of Tears and never caught back up when I tried picking it up again, but I've been having a blast with Silksong. The Greenpath boss in Hollow Knight gave me way more trouble than anything so far.

The shells are just their clothes, so there's actually a lot of koopas left undressed so you can win a race.

people are already doing no-banana no-fossil and saying that I realize that might make it kinda mainstream for your coverage but I still wouldn't say no to a documented run summary vid in your style with all the hiccups that happen along the way.
