A bright yellow and orange marigold flower. The center is fuzzy and light orange, with 8 orange and yellow squared petals. Dark green foliage is behind it. A group of tiny clustered pink and white flowers of the swamp milkweed plant. A bumblebee has landed on the flowers. A pair of nasturtium leaves, small green leaves that are circular with a few small indentations like dinosaur toes. A tiny firefly bug is resting on one of the leaves. Two mushrooms seen from above. The type is unknown but they are flat, circular and and pale colored with thin black stripes that radiate from the center.

From a WIP short story - young Brooke has her first run-in with the police (but it won't be her last) #WIPSnips
A screenshot of a writing program showing the following text: " “All right,” one of the cops said. “Let’s try this again.” Hands grabbed at her arms, lifting her back to her feet. She could see then that she was in the small lobby of the police station. It was dimly lit and looked abandoned; the station must have been closed for the night. Brooke felt better able to control herself that time, and the cops frog-marched her through a secured door into the next room. She felt the cuffs come off, and one of the cops pulled her hand forward to a small machine, pressing her fingers onto the glassy surface. Fingerprints. Brooke had never been fingerprinted, but she knew what they were doing nonetheless."
