A dynamic I really enjoy from my Greasefang and Rendmaw decks is I feel like a spooky villain in lower power games but in higher power games I am applying enough pressure to be annoying but I am usually less of an imminent threat than someone's absurd value machine.

I think this is an awesome goal that I wish more people would work towards. I have my fair share of unironic 3s but I am very proud of my 2s that really feel like they can hang out at a higher tier while also not completely overwhelming other peoples low-mid power decks.

Absolutely! I’ve thought about getting on Enlightened Tutor because I like that it can also search a discard or sac outlet as well as finding bomb vehicles but I am pretty sensitive to the groan factor as well at this point.

Ultimately I think bracket 3 encompasses a huge range of deck power and styles and I think tutors in a deck like Greasefang can help match your power to the people around you. I also think beating people to death with mechs and angels is really fair even with a bunch of tutors to help you do that.

I play with a very tight group of about 6-7 people though so I think that trying to chase/maintain the vibe we all enjoy warps my deckbuilding a ton and I also just like fiddling around with my touys as I loop Bomat Bazaar Barge and Skybox Ferry til a wincon shows itself to me.

I’m currently just on Oswald but having played this commander for a long time I feel like it’s not a huge deal to be on a lot of tutors. I’ve thought about adding a couple again but I recently cut Entomb because it always turned my games into “The Parhelion Show” and it got stale for me.
