ironically with the trend of "smart" appliances, this is actually more and more tempting, being able to shut off an appliance without having to make a physical disconnection of it's power cable and render it inert is kina nice, though in the uk where almost every outlet is switched, it's just normal

about a week ago, possibly 2 weeks ago, and the issues persisted even after a full wipe and reflash of the stock os, with the alarm functions complaining about a missing permission on the stock rom that was preventing them from working

i personally don't get why nvidia felt the need to ditch the good old 8pin pcie power connectors, like yeah, 4 cables for a high end gpu isn't great, but they have a better safety margin, and aren't known for failing spectacularly
