I'm not sure of the actual stitch name to be perfectly honest, I'd just go for a normal running stitch if you're hand sewing.

That looks like it's going to need a patch - if you can find scrap denim at a haberdashery (or cannibalise another damaged pair of jeans) then just cut a piece a bit bigger than the damage and sew it in from underneath. That's how I'd fix it if you brought it to me at the repair café, at least. :)

I am so envious right now, I wish Aldi here in the UK picked up Dutch Christmas treats. We get loads of German lebkuchen, but no kruidnoten. They even stopped doing the marzipanblokjes :(

Haddock, chips and a breadcake (to make a chip butty). Plenty of salt and vinegar, unless I'm back up north in which case, chip spice. Maybe a pattie if I'm up north as well. I don't tend to get drinks from the chippy, I'm more likely to just make a good strong brew at home 😁
