We have early voting that covers that. NYC had the biggest turnout for the mayoral race since 1969 - over 2 million people voted!

How, though? It would require a Constitutional Amendment, a new ruling by SCOTUS negating the previous one (which would require a case be brought to them and the current judges won't turn that one over), or states can strengthen campaign laws. None of these are really actionable.

Yeah, I'd have to say that is a bit inaccurate. They had a four-day border dispute back in July. This is political theater at best, Trump scouting a new location for a hotel is more likely.

Sadly I think you're right. It's directly out of the authoritarian playbook to bury everyone under a deluge of fuckery so that they don't know how to respond. To fight that you have to pick something, face it, repeat. We need our representatives to start doing just that.

Except you can't. Because Republicans don't think there's anything wrong with the way things are. You can't treat the addict that doesn't want to get off drugs. It's really the same thing only greed is their drug.
