Day 271: For example, I timed myself on the redraws for this and it was almost exactly 20 minutes, or about what the original timer was.
December 7, 2025 at 6:08 AM
Day 270: As I'm getting into the long run of 1-minute poses I can tell I improved over time because I have less to redraw and it's faster to do so
December 7, 2025 at 6:07 AM
Day 269: Same as above, honestly
December 7, 2025 at 4:57 AM
Day 268: Some combination of me getting the pose completely wrong and posemaniacs giving me something drunk happened repeatedly here.
December 7, 2025 at 4:56 AM
Day 267: And back to 30 seconds. The consequences of getting used to 1 minute was consistently running out of time to draw lower bodies.
December 7, 2025 at 4:55 AM
Day 266: Well this was long. This was apparently the time I found out about the timer settings on posemaniacs because I set it to 1 minute and thought that would be time to draw more detail.

Day 265: The torso twists on the top left and right feel a bit exaggerated, but I don't hate it.
December 6, 2025 at 8:37 PM
Day 264: This time there was some as-draw commentary on what two-months-ago me thought was the best idea on how to speed-draw and still have a vaguely comprehensible perspective later.

I guess it worked?

Day 263: God some of these angles hit like a brick. Any angle viewing the chest/torso from the top-down screws with me so hard.
December 6, 2025 at 8:34 PM
Day 262: Another large batch of catch-up
December 6, 2025 at 8:32 PM
Day 261: Some of these I clearly went back and detailed later at the time I drew it. No way did I find the time to draw back muscles in 30 seconds 😆
December 5, 2025 at 11:56 PM
Day 260: Didn't save the examples for the trace, so this time I just tried to redraw it from the original sketch. Some artistic interpretation was required 😅

Also I did 30 of these because for a 30-second challenge it made sense to do it for 15 minutes. And then it took 2 hours to redraw...
December 4, 2025 at 3:26 AM
Day 259: Same thing for the next two weeks-ish

I started actually getting something vaguely recognizable as the correct pose eventually though?
December 3, 2025 at 2:09 AM
Day 258: Change to what I was practicing, mostly because I found the "30 second practice" challenge on posemaniacs

It was... faster than I was ready for 😅

Black (what little of it there is) is original speed challenge
Red is trace afterwards

Day 257: Also didn't do the blue notes or trace here.
November 30, 2025 at 7:51 PM
Day 2^8: Didn't do the blue notes this time, apparently just forgot because I also had to do the tracing just now.
November 30, 2025 at 7:50 PM
Day 255: Tried doing color this time. Wasn't amazingly successful given the lack of reference.
November 30, 2025 at 5:55 PM
Day 254: Continued with the details by adding environment around the model. I found it helps ground sizes a bit?
November 30, 2025 at 5:52 PM
Day 253: Decided to indulge in a little concept art practice with the silly angular futuregun. Also back to box models for torso construction.
November 30, 2025 at 5:47 PM
Day 252: Another lazy one, though at least the pov is mostly correct this time.
November 30, 2025 at 5:45 PM
Day 251: At some point my complaint to past me isn't getting head sizes wrong, it's to slightly less past me for not getting that in the blue unreferenced notes. How obvious does it have to be?
November 30, 2025 at 5:44 PM
Day 250: Again, better feet and hands than I remember being able to do at the time, but apparently I can't draw asses right. And head sizes still screw with me sometimes.
November 30, 2025 at 5:41 PM
Day 249: I think there's some things I should add "Good job me" on the notes for.
Those might be my favorite hands so far.
November 30, 2025 at 5:38 PM
Day 248: I know this one was boxed because I was trying to do this late and tired. You can tell because it can't decide whether it's trying to be accurate to the viewed pov or from a lower one.
November 30, 2025 at 5:35 PM
Day 247: I like "conehead nonsense" as a note. Nice job, past me.
