Both are good options. On one hand could be seen as accepting your diapers, or the other is it’s another way to enforce that you will be in diapers for good.

There are services like Backblaze and Wasabi for cloud backup, or even Onedrive/Google Drive if you have them with enough space. You can even look at backing up to a friend’s NAS if they have it configured right.
There are also other NAS systems other than Synology that can out perform it if wanted
