I always make a triple batch with orange juice substituted for the water, thinly sliced orange slices and some of the pulp. Just a smidge of clove and cinnamon, and brown sugar…

Have also had one for 30+ years. It’s amazing! This year when I got it out I realized that I don’t have a countertop that I can screw the thing onto anymore, so I ordered a new one that has a suction cup and it works better than my old one. I’ll never throw it away. I’ll give it to one of my kids.

This looks amazing! We bought an apple peeler 30 years ago and it’s the coolest thing. It would make short work of preparing the apples for this beauty. You still have the peelings and cores to use, but the apple slices are all done in just a few cranks of the peeler.

My mother, and now I, cut in half, remove seeds, salt, pepper, butter and add 2-3 T of orange juice concentrate. Then we sit it on a nice pork chop and bake for about an hour. It’s a nice sauce for the meat and squash. I always have extra OJ and butter on the table.

Thank you so much! Yes, I will tone the heat down a bit, but sounds wonderful.

We adults in the family always request these fancy homemade cakes, all of the children want is a boxed Funfetti cake with canned Funfetti frosting. 🤯

When I was first married in the early 80’s we lived very close to Yellowstone Park. My father in law would take us to breakfast at Pahaska Tepee. We always got Saddle Blanket blueberry pancakes which hung over a large plate. One of my favorite memories of those early Sunday mornings.

I’m always asked to bring cranberries for the holidays. I love it because it couldn’t be easier. I use orange juice in place of water with a little less sugar.

The name isn’t One Potato, but The Salted Potato.

This looks so good! I would love your recipe for homemade poppy seed filling if you have the time or inclination. I found an amazing recipe for an orange cake on One Potato site I found here. It called for oranges and lemons, peel and all puréed in the batter. I wonder if you could use a lemon?

My son is a doctor and is VERY concerned. They had to call all of their MEDICARE patients and tell them that they could no longer do tele-health appointments and they would have to come in. Seniors who are ill, don’t have a car, etc… Thank goodness their system has transportation available. 🤯
