Today, we mark the 107th anniversary of Lithuania’s Diplomatic Service. Since 1918, Lithuanian diplomats have worked without interruption - making it the only Lithuanian institution to do so even during the Soviet occupation, safeguarding the vision of an independent Lithuania.

32 years ago today, the last Soviet troops left Lithuania, ending decades of occupation. With this final milestone, Lithuania restored complete control of independence, taken from us in 1940. Today, we mark the Day of Freedom. 🇱🇹
