Here's something you probably haven't come across before.
This is an OEM Toyota 6 disc minidisc changer. It's the same size and uses the same interface as their CD changers, and is manufactured by Matsushita (Now Panasonic).
A Toyota 6-Disc MD Auto changer, model MH6N-H19. It is a black rectangular box made out of painted sheet metal. The front is made out of plastic and has a two piece sliding door that has a hand latch. The rear of the same MD changer. There is a first generation toyota CD changer port on the right made out of white plastic with the 7 + 5 pin arrangement. There is also a label which reads the following: Model No. 08601-00008 Ref. No. CX-ES0950C A rectangular diagram broken up into four squares horizontally follows. The first box on the left displays a symbol for a battery with "12v" written under it. The next two boxes contain a black rectangle, without any text. The last box on the right shows a circle with a negative symbol in it, and connected to the circle is the symbol for electrical ground. Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. Matsushita Communication Industrial Co., Ltd. Made in Japan In all caps: Serial No. 30306 In a box: ドルビーラボラトリーズライセンシングコーポレーションの米国及び外国特許に 基づく許諾製品. At the bottom: Label No. YEFM01910 The front of the CD changer again, this time with the door open. It slides to the left, exposing 6 numbered slots to fit minidiscs into. They are numbered 1 through 6 in white lettering on the right side. The numbers descend from 6 towards the bottom of the unit. Above the slots is a near flush plastic rectangular button with an eject logo silkscreen onto it. The MD Changer, shot from above, with the top cover removed. There are a few ribbon cables visible, a metal frame, and two visible circuit boards stacked at the top of the image. There is a label which reads: 注意 ここを開くと不可視レーザー光が出ます ビームをのぞき込まないこと 光学機器で直接ビームを見ないこと Also visible here is the drive assembly, which comprises of 6 metal flanges which is where the minidiscs sit, as well as a single angled carrier which contains the reader. It sits on a rail allowing it to pivot up and down by motor control to select a disc.

Fun discovery; our 2004 toyota 4runner has a harness connector for a CD changer under the passenger seat, but no harness is wired to it. Which is weird because the install guide for an external cd changer says to put it in the center console
A photo of under a seat in a 2004 toyota 4runner, there is a 12 pin male to male coupler which is the same size as the cd changer input on the head unit. There is no wire harness terminated at this location however. There are also mounting points on the seat rack to mount one properly.

Slide film is so cool. It feels like magic to look at.
A Print File film sheet filled with a roll of Kodak Ektachrome slide film sitting on top of a light emitting source (our monitor). The film is still very curled, causing the top of the sheet to curl and not sit flat at all. There are 30 visible photographs on display, plus a few latent images at the beginning of the roll. The film itself is mostly cut into 5 exposure lengths, except for the beginning of the roll (which is only 4 plus a short leader) and the last set (which is 3 long because we mis-cut. The remaining 7 shots from this roll are not shown, as they didn't fit on this page, as this page is only 35 frames for some reason, despite 35mm film being available as 36 exposures, with up to 39 or event 40 exposures if you load in complete darkness.

Picked up an old Beseler 23cii XL enlarger the other week at an estate sale. Finally got it back together -- it's gonna be a lot of fun once we get everything else set up around it :3

It is plugged directly into a wall outlet for testing, as we have yet to acquire a timer for it. An image of a live oak projected onto the baseboard of the enlarger. It is a color reversal slide, so the image is not perfectly in focus, due to the plastic slide mount holding the 35mm carrier open, as it was not designed to hold these. It does however, make a good test image, to check focus adjustments, as it is what we had on hand. We are fully aware that making direct positive prints is fairly impossible. The slide of the live oak projected at the largest size this enlarger will make it while staying in focus. Our hand is on the base plate for comparison.

A well worn math in a forest, lush forest flank either side, but the path is almost completely barren down to soil. Sunlight peeks through the on shadows of the canopy.

Ok so... 36 and like, 3/4ths really. The last frame kinda got jumbled (and the sky is very overexposed), but, calling it a win either way!

Chaperomon
Chaperomon; A Perfect Digimon whose body is composed of data from ornamental dolls and fairy tales. It has taken on a humanoid form, but since its body is similar to a doll, its joints bend in the wrong direction, so it surprises those who see it. It carries a large amount of "Mini Monzaemon Gummies" in its basket, and eats them whenever it has free time, even when it isn't hungry.
