Yes, I linked to the brilliant Lit Hub piece skewering the NYT and then immediately shared this NYT piece on Cuomo. My dislike of Cuomo eclipses even my dislike of the NYT.

Obviously I’m talking about everyday informal handwriting here, *not* calligraphy, which sadly I have never had the requisite patience to learn.

I’ve only ever taken a picture of one, and that was in northern Minnesota. I’ve never seen one in NYC, but I’m sure we must have some somewhere.

Coney Island is one of my favorite places in the universe. I took this picture a while back.

Through an odd set of circumstances, I somehow ended up adopting a feral dog from Bangalore, India. She has a similar body shape and also smiles broadly.

Friendly reminder that “inequality” and “inequity” are not interchangeable terms. Inequity is avoidable, material, structural; inequality refers to an uneven distribution of resources due to circumstances largely beyond our control.

Desperately, desperately pushing AI. It’s not enough to inject it into their SERPs. Now they have intrusive popups.
I foolishly googled something using Chrome, without any AI workarounds. A modal window popped up: “Get more homework help with AI Mode. Ask follow-ups to get help with your toughest homework questions.” A search field appears on top: “Ask anything…” And there are two buttons at the bottom: “Not interested” and “Continue”.
