Surely this will create a gap in the market for someone? Especially working in partnership with local authorities which Zipcar did (at one stage, possibly not after Avis takeover).

Agree it’s brilliant but quite a challenging read. There was a fantastic radio adaptation about 5 years ago with Alison Steadman (I don’t think it’s currently available on BBC Sounds).

I don’t think so. Many of those who might be inclined to support them will own their own home anyway and as others have pointed out, it still won’t be enough to make buying a home affordable in some areas.
