Currently teaching Macbeth, and at the end of Act 2 Macduff says, “lest our old robes sit easier than our new,” followed by the Old Man’s “God’s benison go with those who would make good of bad and friends of foes”, I couldn’t help but say, “And you all thought Shakespeare was no longer relevant.”
