a message from "our dear friend, the medic" on the bandcamp website, which reads as follows: to all who may be wounded, sutured, lost, or found, as you may have heard, bandcamp friday approaches us not but 24 hours from now, on august 1st. with this, i am quite eager to announce the release of some new material, an ep titled “to turn and remove the key”, which will be available for purchase exclusively on bandcamp (or at the very least, will not be available on spotify and the like) these pieces were written in-character as part of a story project that didn’t fully come together a couple of years ago. the composer violetta, an esteemed musician of her time, wrote these pieces during a particular time in her life and marked a shift from her more experimental and avant garde works. as she lived during a pre-technology era, each work is crafted with more classical timbres - strings, woodwinds, and the ever pleasant piano i will provide more details with the ep’s release tomorrow. even though they are all through the perspective of a fictional person, i still feel a deeply intimate connection with each piece. as i listen to them now, giving one final round of polish, i can feel a welling brought about by the sapphic yearning and release found within it is time for the sound of her heart to be heard by the world at last until then, be as well as can be -e

2024 was a year of challenges and changes which reshaped my plans entirely. in the face of all, i still yet managed to release "when air collapsed within" and join the @dragonseyerecordings.com family alongside many inspirations who helped me find my path forward in the dark

a result for an unscientific online personality test aimed at artists to figure out why they "create", which for this poster reads as follows: Your Result: Longing You create from longing. It is the overwhelming desire for what remains out of reach that defines your work. You are someone who is always wanting for something. The endless craving gnaws at you to the point that it would consume your every thought if you couldn't find a way to let it out. The nagging sense of lacking drives you to create, to give your desires an audience so that they do not devour you from the inside out. Creating something from your desires makes the sense of emptiness less acute. It's a way of obtaining some measure of fulfillment in spite of the constant craving for more. As long as you can create, an outlet for your longing is the one thing you can't be denied.
