Difficult to watch the total deterioration of someone who knows deep down he’s incapable of persuasion and has no negotiating skills whatsoever.

Because Trump wanted to force numskulls down the throats of his Republican worshippers to remind them who is in charge. And to force a reaction from us. I like to think that he’ll be tracked down by karma, along with the rest of his followers who are unable to stand up to him.

Agreed. He’s one cog in this overall machine to institute Christian Nationalism and fascism. Trump himself is just the front for the overall operation. It’s terrifying.

I’m not a lawyer, but I was dumbfounded when the SG said to let those who have been injured file their own suits. They don’t have a clue about the real world or their own cruelty.

I agree. She simplified everything: If the president issues an unconstitutional order, the judge tells him to stop, and not to enforce it.

It’s ridiculous to even consider the absurd idea that everyone in the country has to bring a case if they have or had a non citizen parent. But I do have a question about the Texas judge whose order stopped women nationwide from receiving legal drugs for abortion. How is that distinction made?

Yeah. While he spurts out gibberish, the pretense required of others is destabilizing for them, too, the longer they continue with it. You’d think someone would get up and shout, “This man is ill! Call 911!” The anxiety must be awful.

I’m a retired clinical psychotherapist not heavily trained in chronic mental illness. But as I watched the mania he displayed in the Oval this morning I realized this is way way beyond so-called “flight of ideas.”This looks like a persistent paranoid, delusional state of psychosis.

Not well thought out, my friend. MAGA-ism exists in all age groups, races, sexes, gays, straights … should I go on? There are far more nonMAGAs in every age and class and education levels. MAGA has existed under many different guises and throughout our history, so blaming Boomers is thoughtless.

Lucky for my then teenage dad, who parachuted into the Philippines during WWII and nevertheless lived his life as an upbeat American, he doesn’t have to see this heartbreaking truth.
